Who are we?

Proudly representing Wales, Air Wales Virtual (ICAO: WLS) is a virtual airline flying out of Cardiff Airport to 27 destinations across the UK, Western Europe and further afar. Utilising a modern fleet, we operate 70 scheduled flights throughout our network.
We aim to fill a gap that has been missing from the flight simulation community for a long time; regular service into and out of Wales, via Cardiff Airport.

Welcome to Air Wales Virtual!

We know that flexibility makes a great virtual airline. We offer all the great features of the larger virtual airlines, but with a relaxed feel. We offer realistic schedules, popular aircraft types and an awesome dispatch system. We're confident we offer an all-around enjoyable experience.

We aren't affiliated with any real-world airline and are completely fictional. This means we are free to do our own thing and constantly evolve, meaning a more enjoyable experience for our pilots. We're proud to be different and open a unique market for virtual pilots.

Our Fleet

We use the following aircraft to operate our scheduled services.

Bombardier Dash 8 Q400

The Q400 is the workhorse of Air Wales Virtual. The extremely popular turbprop aircraft carries up to 76 passengers and is one of the best in the business for flights under 2 hours long. It is operated on the majority of our UK routes.

Bombardier CRJ-900

The CRJ-900 operates a similar passenger capacity to our Dash 8, carrying 90 passengers per flight. Air Wales Virtual primarily utilise the CRJ on flights to our European destinations.

Airbus A330-300

Operated on our Cardiff-Dubai service and some European routes, the A330 plays an important role in connecting Wales with global markets by providing capacity for over 250 passengers per flight.

Boeing 777-200LR

Air Wales Virtual's powerhouse, the 777-200LR is used to connect Wales with North America. By providing space for over 300 passengers and capable of flying for over 15 hours, the possibilities are endless.
